Born: April 6, 1967 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada).
Bio: Kathleen Barr is a Canadian voice actress, active since 1979 and with an impressive and extensive list of roles in animated movies, television series, video games and even voicing the electronic Care Bear plush toy “Best Friend Bear / Take Care Bear”.
In addition, Kathleen is also know for her various stage appearances such as Beatrice from Much Ado about Nothing and Nerissa from The Merchant of Venice (plus several others).
Some of Kathleen’s most well-known voice roles are Dot Matrix (ReBoot), Trixie Lulamoon, Hoops and Queen Chrysalis (My Little Pony), Kevin (Ed, Edd n Eddy), Wheezie (Dragon Tales) and very many more. In At Jesus’ Side, she is the voice of kindhearted and intelligent Maya the Saluki Dog.
Also (erroneously) known as Kathleen Baar, Kathleen Bar or Katherine Barr.
Trivia: Recipient of the 1991 Jessie Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Musical or Revue for her role in the Coconuts Theatre production of Love for Love.
Kathleen is the sister of Professor Mark Lyle Barr at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
